In college I hated the idea of parties. Eventually I figured I should go to one, just to see if they were really as bad as I thought they would be for me.

Later that night I wrote a depressing poem about my experiences. Those types of parties really weren't my thing. But at least I can say that I've tried them.

If you want to go to a party, then go. If you don't want to, then don't. Just do whichever makes you happy. :)

I went to college for 5 yrs, never attended a party...at least not like the ones you are describing. I don't regret it at all...they seem like a big waste of time.

It wasn't a big deal for me, I lived on campus my freshman year at a christian college. Then transfered to a secular college but lived at home then got married and live with my hubby.
