Bad depression

I've been depressed for two years straight now, and on and off all throughout my teens. I'm so tired of this ****ing bullshit. Sorry, I just felt like I needed to write that down somewhere. Another wasted day spent lying in bed because I just can't be bothered. ****

That's lame..cool that you're seeing animal tomorrow though at least that's something to look forward to and that. With me i figure i just need a direction but i'm not really looking just waiting, which isn't really working. hearrrrrd way back, sorta, you talking about job interviews, have always figured keeping busy is a plus, stops you thinking about crap...but anyway how'd that stuff go

I'd advise taking something for it - benzodiazipines like valium or prozac.
Once you're out of bed and on your feet, try and push yourself to have a bite to eat, then if you feel motivated enough go for a walk, get some fresh air. Get out of your house. Your room is a cage. Think about it.

I'm going through a bad depressive episode right now. It's usually triggered by something simple and then disappears for weeks/months on end. This time it all kicked off when some friends opted to keep some info from me which ended up costing me a lot of money. Rather than get angry at them I take it out on myself - how crap is that?

Ever feel tired of being the last one standing or the odd one out?

You guys need to take something for the depression. Honestly. I got depressed last week for a day over stupid small things and this depression would have lasted days and weeks if it weren't for my anti-depressants. Because of the anti-depressant I stayed depressed until the next day and then I was fine. It isn't a "happy" pill but it sure does beat being depressed days on end. Shit how much worse could it be for you guys with the way you are feeling? Anti-depressents really did help change my life around.

yea..i really need to get on some anti depressant...i was diagnosed with major/clinical depression a few years ago and was put on prozac for a while then my insurance ran out. Since then i've tried different vitamins but they didn't really help. lately i've been really feeling down in despair and i keep saying to myself "tomorrow i'm going to make an appointment" so yes, i'm ready now:) because it's just not working out..i want to try prestiq, i've heard good things about it or skip the medication and try neurostar tms therapy system.

sabbath, do you know why pot is such a good anti-depressant? I never thought about it but whenever I smoke, the next day I feel better for some reason. Even if the time that I smoke I have a panic attack or feel even more depressed the next day I always feel more refreshed and have a clear mind. It's weird.

Also,
Does anyone else notice a lasting effect from xanax? Whenever I take this drug it not only calms me down for the day but it also seems like the next day I am calm and also feel better all around. Maybe it has to do with being calm during the in take and therefore it clears my mind and system and the next day is just a kind of after math of this effect?

The sole fact you carry Xanax around with you is what gives you a lasting effect of anxiety relief. The ability to be able to take it whenever you need it calms you down, me too.

dreamer- how long did you take prozac for? Most people stop after only a couple weeks because they "feel worse", but it takes 2-3 months for the medication to start working and there is always a period of 2-3 weeks of feeling even worse then before.
