Hi i just wanted to say i think a show i've been watching has been making me feel extra anxious and paranoid. I know shows don't effect everyone, but for me if i'm watching a show i begin to think about it outside the show. I don't act it out, but i think of those negative things that could happen. I'm going to watch more positive shows now, and movies that aren't too scary, suspenseful, etc. like i've been doing. It's ironic since i write about these things but the plan is to not watch them as much, but anyway :p if you watch suspenseful shows just to do it in small doses if you feel it would help. This is kind of obvious but idk i felt like writing this just in case it affects other ppl on here. :)

I only avoid the awful TV shows.

If some shows give you anxiety, maybe stop watching them. Thinking about the themes and ideas outside of watching can also mean you really enjoy it. I have done that with shows (and books), and I can tell it means I'm enjoying the story they're telling and what message or mood they're trying to convey.

Watching more positive shows might help you out, so do that if you feel it's going to help. :)

With the internet, just so long as I steer clear of shock videos (sometimes morbid curiosity gets the better of me), I'm fine.

As far as mainstream stuff, I've completely sworn-off all 24-hour cable news channels.
