anyone here not know how to socialize?

I think I know how to, I just don't care to - "What work do you do? What are you doing for xmas. Oh that's nice, blah, blah..."

I think I know how to, partly, too.. It's sometimes stressful or boring, and sometimes cool, it depends a lot on the people really... if they are interesting and friendly or not :D if we have interesting stuff to talk about..

I was really awkward as a teenager, didn't know what to talk about with people, and slowly learnt later, from roommates and flatmates and books and articles etc. It still depends on the day and the context and situation though.. Some situations are more awkward/stressful then others... Some are easier...
If you're new to a situation or people it may be more stressful.. Or if you're task-oriented and others might be more people-oriented...
I'd still like to learn how to socialize in certain situations better... :)

I used to know how to socialize.. But when you've been a recluse for a long time you start to lose these skills

Yerp Im with you. My mind is mostly blank in social situations. I actually have nothing to say a lot of the time. and I don't know how to hold a conversation. It's strange. I dont think I suffer social anxiety. I just suffer from being an utter social retard.

^^ That's how I feel too. I sometimes think I am more socially inept than socially anxious. It may be a little bit of both along with other variables. All I know is that I am not very good with people and cant feel comfortable around others.

I think the problem with me is that I don't actually know how to socialise (thanks to my lack of experience and exposure so far in life). That, coupled with nerves, of course, with varying degrees of seriousness. Winning combination, innit? *laughs bitterly*

I rely on others to spark up a topic. I can never come up with anything whenever it's silent.
