it's all apart of media distraction and sensation, it is an art to them.
personally i prefer to buy unbias newspapers that i can just read through, once a week, it means i'm not consumed by the 90% negativity that news media shoves into peoples face each day. mainstream news is heavily weighed down by celebrity nonsense and "bad" news, there is never good news.
i would say that news channels and radio news channels often lead people down a path of becoming worriers and are often guilt ridden as well..
just say you have two people, one person spends all day listening to the news and worried and feels stressed, the other person plays snooker, golf, eats out at a restaurant, spends money and buys a few nice things, walks the dog, plays the xbox/ps3, goes to a museum for the day ...
nothing that either of those two people do will change the news at all. people had to live through the second world wars and the great depression however it doesnt stop people from enjoying or living their life ...
being poor doesnt hold people back it's feeling and believing that they are poor and that they'll always be that way that is the biggest problem.
