I can't live without mine. It's my only phone. I use it to call my parents to ask about things. And at one rare time or another call a friend. It's also my clock, alarm in the mornings and notebook. And used to be my music source. Now the head set thing is kinda eh broke. :<

Since getting my first mobile 8 years ago it feels weird not having one. Having a mobile is useful because i drive and i do text my friend who is in another country. I was just thinking when i met my friend in March how useful mobiles really are, i mean how would we know where to meet otherwise?

To those who are afraid of getting cancer from cell phones: just use a hands-free headset. That seems to be what the experts who have raised concerns about cell phones do.

I have a cell phone. It's more useful to me than a land line would be. I pay by the minute, so I don't pay when I'm not using it, which is most of the time, of course.

I've got one, too. I like them mostly. Any time I dont know where a family member is, I can just call their cell. If I'm going somewhere, and someone needs something (milk, flour, ext) they can just call my cell and tell me instead of waiting untill I get back and sending me out again. Plus I like having a clock, notepad, camera, internet, game with me all the time, in one little package.

I dont believe all that stuff about cell phones giving you brain tumors. They said the same things about color televisions and microwave ovens for years. "Scientific studys prove!!" and all that bull. I've been couped up in front of one or the other for all my 21 years and prior, and can attest to being brain tumor/birth defect/cancer free. Americans have a long standing love affair with media induced hysteria.

I actually hate landlines, I keep nagging mom to drop our landline in favor of the cells, since noone EVER calls it, exept for 15+ telemarketers a day. Annoying as hell.

I've had 3 cellphones over the years. [im 19] I would always tell my mother not to get me one because A] no one ever calls me and B] I have no friends.
Currently I don't have one. I would like one if I had a social life and friends but I don't so what's the point? I think they're a waste of money esp. the IPHONE. My sister made me stand in line with her for 6 hours so she could get one.

I own one, but I hardly ever use it. Maybe twice a month. I will charge it, see if I get a call or a message (I never do, and I don't care, anyway), let the battery die, and keep the battery dead for a few days, then I will remember that I have a phone, charge it and so on. I keep my own number in the wallet in case somebody asks for it, but nobody does. At least, I can answer "sure, I have one" and so people will leave me alone. When I say "I hardly ever use that phone" I don't get much remarks: maybe I'm old enough to be a bit extravagant.

I have a cell phone but I use it only to call my parents twice a month, and they are the only people I get calls from.

I own one, but I only really use it to communicate with my parents. It's not like someone's going to call me on it.
