7 more hours to go until I'm forced to deal with father time telling me that I need to jump into a new year.

You're welcome. :) There's already 15 or so videos on YouTube with the fireworks.

I hope one of our stations televises the New York one. I would like to watch that!

Maybe it's just me. (yeah dude, it is) But, I don't like watching the count down and fireworks......all of those people cheering and having fun. It just makes me realize how lonely and pathetic I really am.

Not just you, focusing on how much fun people are having without you will surely get you down. Not a pathetic person because you're not out celebrating in society. This is going to be cheesy advice, but I believe it's true, you have to find ways to start joy from with in and not look for things to give you joy. I hope your new year is not too sad. * Upload digital hugs and paste them your way*

Nathalia said it best, but I hope you find some happiness in 2013. :)

I took a walk at midnight, bringing a glass of champagne. Even though I´ve been depressed all day, I was actually glad to see the fireworks and several people greeted me with a "happy new year". (Okay I got a little nervous when random people spoke to me on the street, but still it was kinda sweet)

Thanks Nathalia and MikeyC! I would quote you both but I don't know how to insert two quotes. I hope you guys have a wonderful New Year as well. I'll probably take a long walk later tonight. I need the exercise.

Go for it, man. Light exercise is great for the body.

(^ this one's dedicated to The Lone Gunman! :))

A champagne toast to all of the lovely SPWers who have enlightened me, made me laugh, and most importantly, offered their friendship. Wishing you much happiness and prosperity in 2013! Salud, Chin-chin, Prost! :brindis:
