Heh, yeah I don't blame you. Camden is a pretty dangerous place, or so I hear. I haven't been there in years. All I know is that I've heard people tell me to get out of the city before dark.
A lot has changed about it actually. A lot of the old businesses (diners, hotels, you name it) I grew up with aren't around anymore. There's always new businesses popping up and then going into the ground after about a year. There's a lot more tourists down there now than there used to be when I grew up. It's much more diverse. When I was younger, the only tourists I remember were the Pennsylvanians, people from North Jersey, and the Canadians, with occasional people from Fla. Now there's those plus Russians and Asians. I'm not trying to come off saying that these are bad things, it just surprises me how much it's changed since growing up. I hardly recognize my hometown anymore, hehe. You're right though, it's not nearly as much as Atlantic City or Ocean City.
