What do you guys think of this generation today?

I think there hasn't been a better time to be alive (particulary if your a girl, so much more oppertunities). I like the music, TV etc, more variety in entertainment than previous generations. One thing I don't like is the fashion, it's quite boring ATM and I don't think it will be remembered as fondly as previous years.

People do seem a more insensitive though, with less respect for old people etc.

Of course some things suck(putting it lightly), but there always will be problems.
Stuff like the enviroment is a problem and quite worrying (for me at least)

So much to do and see, another reason my SA pisses me off as its holding me back.

But I can't help but feel we're all on the brink of something terrible that will happen soon, but I don't know what . Hard to explain.

True, but inequalities still exist that really shouldn't.

Not just you. I don't think our environment is considered enough, especially with larger companies where polluting is cheaper. I hope we can reverse this worrying trend for the only planet we have.

Well.....I'm about your age(A year younger...)
And I guess I could be called "straight edge"
I actually am called that by alot of people that I know.lol
I've never liked that title for some reason though.
*shrug*
But look! you found one!;)

yay!
Yeah-- the term isn't really... accurate by any means.
I'm not a 'punk' and don't follow the whole punk scene; I just choose to do what I think is best for me.
Not drinking or smoking or doing drugs or having casual sex. All things I choose for myself... and I'm told that 'choosing' these things is unreasonable and difficult since it's seen as uncool, I guess.

And again... GET OFF MY LAWN!

cheap, disposable, stupid, easy, hard

I don't really listen to any music from today

There's a part of me that longs to be from a different time...

I can completely relate to that.
People give me crap about it all the time. :/
Oh well...They're stupid.::p:

And yes... Damned kids.

Speaking of which.(But not direct at weirdy)
I saw the movie "Project x" yesterday(not by choice)
And it's pretty much all about this generation.
How very annoying.
And it made me feel old as hell for some reason.haha

to be honest I think a lot of them are a bunch of whiners that think they are entitled to stuff without having to work for it.

lack of discipline = lack of respect
lack of responsibility = lack of maturity

especially the lack of responsibility. seems these days no one is willing to take responsibility for their actions. governments are picking up responsibilitys, through more and more regulations.

I think a lot of the generation has become spoiled, trashy, and disrespectful.
Other things to come out of this generation: Jersey Shore, Keeping up with the Kardashians, etc.

On the other hand, I believe it's also become more common for people to get into more difficult colleges and take up more difficult majors. It also seems like they follow their own dreams rather than what their parents want, etc, which I believe is a good thing.

Unfortunately, a large part of that is colleges lowering their standards, rather than people being generally smarter or more proactive about their future.
