Yes the chirps of those baby ones can be quite repetitive and something only a mother bird can not mind listening too!lol You must have a lot of patients to have hand raised one yourself!?:)

Some might call it patience, I call it stubbornness. ;) The people that found her (after a riding lesson in an arena) were set to try and get a horse to step on her but fortunately my sister intervened and told them I could handle it as I've raised a bunch before. She needed feeding every 20 minutes but for an agoraphobic person it really isn't a hardship, and now that she's almost an adult and feeds on her own she's nice company, even if I can't really bond with her. :) I'm just really happy to be doing something that benefits the world, even if it's something most people would consider insignificant. The only drawback is the stress involved in release. There are so many factors to consider I worry I'll have poor timing or make the wrong call. I almost released her yesterday wrongly assuming she had decent flying skills. Not the case! A few more days...maybe she'll be ready. :)

Finally booted all the tourists out and closed the store. Sitting at the pub across the street, using their interweb wifis and having a beer and guacamole.

Do you guys in the UK have guacamole over there? I wasn't sure, since it doesn't have any sheep intestines in it.

Yup we do, plus a wide variety of dishes from 'the old empire', not sure about sheeps intestines, I gather that's an arab dish and the spicy taste comes from the fact they are not cleaned out too well :/

Do you put extra salt, preservatives, hormones and animal fat in your guacamole? :p

What on earth for? *shudders*

Just avacados, tomato, onion, lime juice, and maybe a little cumin.

I like to squish the avacados!
