Do you do weird things?

It's weird. I do unusual things (for example, I play with my face; eyelids, cheeks, etc) during class.

Even though doing these things probably hurt me more socially than bad conversations, I'm still more terrified of socializing than other odd behaviors.

Do you have any strange habits?

I did a similar thing when at school, i think biology i would just sit there going over my face finding out where all the bones are and the shape of my skull (this was when i was 18 or something not like 10 heh), also spent too much time staring at my hands moving them slightly watching the tendons and that. We sat on a round table so everyone on it was well aware of what i was doing....luckily most of them knew me so they didn't think anything of it i guess they were fairly open minded lol

Probably just down to me being strange or i guess a result of daydreaming all the time, seem to forget where i am.

Fidget alot too usually balancing a number of near objects on top of each other or ripping them up and putting them into different piles....instead of paying attention to whatever conversation is going on. Something i need to work on no doubt.

Weirdos

Oh my god YEAH! I am the weirdiest weirdo like ever. I know weirdiest isn't a word.... I can't NOT touch my hair. I'll touch one spot on my face over and over and over and over again. I'll also keep poking myself in the middle of the cheek over and over again. One thing I also do, is grab leaves, and start ripping them up like mad. I don't know how. Or when I'm talking to people outside, like I have to grab leaves off a plant and start ripping them up, and sometimes make a leaf formation with them.

I have this weird habit of biting my lips- sometimes until they bleed- my lips are always chapped, and actually wearing chapstick makes this habit worse. Not sure where it came from, but I recently found out that two of my sisters do it as well.
I'm also pretty fidgety- I always have to be doing something with my hands- I understand the leaf thing, Psychedelicious, although I haven't done it in a long time, probably because I rarely stay outside for long periods. But I think I annoyed a few teachers from elementary through high school- because I would constantly be shuffling my feet under my desk. Or I would sit and doodle- I can't draw, but I would draw like a giant triangle, and then keep dividing it into smaller and smaller triangles, or make similar kinds of patterns when I was bored in class. I probably do other weird things that I can't think of right now, or I don't see them as weird anymore because I'm used to them.

Yup, I do that too!

My weird thing is that I have a major problem with people thinking I might have an erection and it drives me insane!!!! Ever since I was like 14 I've noticed that pants or shorts I wear sometimes go up in like a point at the crotch when I sit (I wear looser clothes so this could be part of the problem). To me someone might mistake this point for an erection (even though they probably wouldn't)... So everytime I sit down I have to look at my crotch area to see if it looks like I have an erection and then I have to adjust my pants if it does... then I take a peek once in awhile while sitting to see if the point has appeared again... this causes me to hate sitting for long periods of times.... Does any other guy have this problem? and why do Icare so much about such a stupid thing?!

I sometimes glance down and notice my trouser/jeans have formed a bit of a bump or fold at the crotch, followed by a hasty flattening and adjusting! It's never worried me too much though, because I think it's the same for everyone, just some people don't notice (or care.)

This reminds me of something else that bothers me sometimes. I often like to do weights, pushups, situps, etc an hour or so before I go to bed. The thing is I do them in my room, and everyone else in the house goes to sleep earlier than me. My worry is that people in the room next door will think I'm erm... doing something a bit more "private" than exercising! Because of the floor creaking when I do pushups etc. Lol!

Yes it bothers me soooo much I even do it at my house when no one is there just incase a family member walks in...

And about the push up thing and the creaking I think that too except its when I move in my bed and it makes a squeak noise and then I think "Oh no my famliy members might think I'm pleasuring myself" lol so I try not to move too much when falling asleep.

I have a nervous habit of twitching my nose. I never even realized I did that until one day when I was in a restaurant eating with someone and they said, "you know you twitch your nose like that woman on Bewitched." I was pretty embarrassed. I also lick my lips a lot so I carry chapstick with me all the time. If I'm on the phone, I'm either pacing the floor or I'll have a pen in my hand clicking away. Sometimes I take the pen apart and put it back together. Usually I end up losing that little spring piece or breaking the clip off. Needless to say, I go through a lot of pens. lol.

I really wanna know if anyone else has this one. I take on the accents of those around me, if I do not actively concentrate on not doing it. It was worse when i was a kid and it was embarrassing. My family moved overseas for two years when i was a kid so i was surrounded by different nationalities all the time. That was when it was the biggest problem. I'd have to explain to people constantly that i was american and nothing else which was more embarrassing than it should have been because of the sa. Now im finally able to keep myself from doing it.

Wow, I have done many of these things mentioned at some point, I think it's because I NEED to be doing something all the time, well when I'm not sleeping anyway. Perhaps it's fear of boredom?

I'm guilty of clicking pens a lot, like mimicing a drum beat to a song, even though there's no song playing. I only really do it at home though. I also wipe my mouth a lot with the back of my hand, I constantly feel like I have food or something stuck there, even though I check myself in a mirror after eating.

:D I have a bad habit of putting on an incredibly strong british accent. I don't really sound like that naturally, but I do it at least half the time when I talk. I think I can get away with it though, because I pretty much AM british. But I think it's funny more than anything else.

I wish I could do a British accent!! I suck at it, haha. I would think it's much easier for an Australian to do the British accent than us Americans, anyway :D But I can do an Australian accent (so I think).

back on topic: I do really strange things. Since I was in 4th grade, I've had this weird habit of squeezing my nose. I don't know why. And I do tend to touch my face a lot like some people have said on here. I used to bite the skin off my fingers when I was younger, but I haven't done that since 5th grade. I think it's an anxiety thing, you know, the "nervous habit." I don't know why I resorted to squeezing my nose though. lol, it's really weird.

I used to be a constant fingernail biter too, all the way through school. It got even worse in middle/high school as I started peeling off the skin around my nails, and from there occasionally started peeling skin off the base of my fingers and palms, like by picking at it with a safety pin. I couldn't help myself, even though it made my hands incredibly sore. I stopped doing it though after I moved away and got my first job.

I used to do that too! And the grunting.. that'd be the most awkward part if my parents heard it

Sometimes my toes feel really uncomfortable in my socks... I have to wiggle them until they feel better, or pull the ends of my socks loose a bit to give them more room. lol.

I've bit the insides of my cheeks really bad my entire life. Sometimes until it bled, and my mom would show the doctor the white spots in my mouth. In college it was my foot. Just the side of my heel, with nail clippers. At first I did that until it bled, when it became painful. When I stopped doing that, I returned to my cheeks, but not until they bled, either.
