I really don't understand bullies really at all. I been picked on my whole life and it even got as far as getting beat up everyday. I been in the hospital for a suicide attempt and been in years of self harm. I have always been singled out and left out of everything. Recently people stopped talking to me period because I didn't go to a prom party (I graduate this year) They say I am always going to regret it, I don't think I will because all they do at it is drink and do drugs and have sex. Which didn't seem that appealing to me, so now I see all these pictures of all the "great times" people had. People think I'm a creep and they say I missed out on so many great things. I didn't want to go because I have had a very bad part of my life with drug and alcohol abuse, I see more to life then getting intoxicated and having one night stands. I just don't understand why it bothers people that I didn't go frankly I enjoyed staying home and watching batman with my dad I already put my family through hell more then once I don't want to do that anymore. I also hate how most of my old friends don't like me or talk to me anymore because I've become to much of a "goody two shoes" and there scared if I see them do something wrong I'll tell on them. So like I said I don't understand people why today most people my age need drugs or alcohol. I also don't get why every girl I talk to start to date the guys that bully me.

Hello dannyboy65 I feel the same way I hate people making such a big deal about them days too. alcohol destroy my life too I hate how everybody make such a big deal about it and if you don`t drink then your unpopular. when I was little I watch my dad hurt my mom because of alcohol I hated watching him go from good dad to bad dad. I been very strong about not drinking because of that. I hate how now a days every body still drinks and your only choose to making friends are going to a bar or a club.

Don't listen to those people, do what feels right to you. Having drunken one night stands and becoming a baby daddy at age 17 isn't exactly the smartest thing ever, but it's what young people would consider "cool" today. I'm glad you have the audacity and sanity to realize how ridiculous some societal norms are. We need more people like you in this world.

It also sounds like almost everyone including your friends are putting you down. What you need is to get away from those people and meet better people. Befriend people who share the same values.

If you are not into meth you aren't popular? I've honestly never heard that b4. I used to be into drugs too, never heard that one.

Agreed. You need better friends. And you need to take action against people who are beating you up and stuff. Tell teachers, parents and have some legal power behind you.

I didn't go to my prom either and almost 20 years later, I definitely do NOT regret it. I didn't regret it at the time either. Maybe in the 50s and 60s, prom was a big deal but it seems pretty outdated to me now. Most people who had girlfriends or boyfriends have already kissed, had sex, talked, etc... nobody makes an event out of it anymore because there aren't as many barriers between the sexes... so prom is pretty much redundant, or at best a chance to help the popular kids feel more popular. By the time I was ready to finish high school I had a pretty solid sense of who I was and what kind of people I liked and the people who were going to the prom were not it.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you go to a small school with not a lot of social options, which is probably your biggest problem... trust me, there is a life after high school and when you figure out what you want to do with it you won't have any regrets about not going to the prom... no matter how much other people try to convince you that you missed out on something amazing, it probably wasn't.

It's a sick world we live in nowadays.

I hate how it's cool to have kids and/or get married asap.

Awhh sweety. Well I used to be a victim and a bully and well let me tell you this. You have done such a wonderful thing. I'm 20 years old right. So you haven't missed a singel thing.

A bully. Three things what a Bully is:
1. Jelous of you (Because you don't do drugs and do alcolohol and sex) and maybe your personalty or your looks (you never know)
2. They want to be you. (I could say a milloin reasons why)
3. Your a threat (because you don't do drugs or alcohol or do sex)

These three things.. are soo simple. Drugs.. I never did it. But I had a best friend and one time she went with another friend just for 5 minutes probably even less. She came back and we were enemys ever snce then. Also, were not even friends now, and shes had a kid at the age of 18. So like I said not even missing out.
And drugs.. people do this to run away from their proplems they do this with alcohol too, because I was one of thoes teens. Its stupid naive and it was a very stupid thing to do.
And sex.. at your age its a trend (I know it sounds strange) But like when someone looses their virginity its like "OMG!!" Don't ask it's really weird. Anyway like I had a friend and she had a friend (Just go with me here XD) and she though "Well she lost her virginity I will too.. and all my friends did too" so she did. Its stupid I know but that's what she told me. And idioic as it may sounds... I did the exact same thing... Or fall in love with the complete wrong guy or girl XD.
Like I said you have been missing nothing... there are the idiots not you.
But heyy I had my own problems. Just like your bullies.

And sweety suicide... yup I've had that too. Try and get some help. But to be honest I bet your bullies are having the same or simular problems becuase like i said you never really know.

I had my prom.. wasn't really a big deal. The only thing that I loved about it was my dress. When I left school I found out that all my old friends well really they aren't my friends at all. Because behind my back they were nasy... you don't need that in your life. Trust me. Been there done that.

Oh and dump your "so" called friends. You really don't need them, trust me one day you will find better and great ones.
Also, please hunny tell your mum... she will love you no matter what.

Hope this all helps. And I hope you feel better *hugs*

Sorry, but this generalisation seems a bit tacky to me, from my experience bullies usually just have fun to have power about you and to play with you around. It's not like they care in a special way about you, they just see that you're not able to defend yourself and that's it for them.

I can't believe what some people have written here, sad.

I worked for myself for years and always treated those who worked for me with respect and great fairness, some even thought it was weak to be a good boss but in the end it worked for me.
Moving to the country i had to take this job i had now , not much work here.
For the the year in was dreadful, the worst job i have ever had , bar none but with three children you do what you have to .
The first job i had here at the hospital made me very miserable, daily, set up to fail but the feckers stood by in management and did nothing , although it was in breach of many things.
I found a niche of sorts and was bullied on and off , even when the hospital was running anti bully workshops.
A few times i retaliated with reasoned thoughts and dropped those people in the shit properly, this pulled them up big time.
For me it is just a game and they leave me alone because they never know what to expect or how it will effect them.
This works a treat when they realise you can pull them down with a few words and make them very cautious they think carefully.
You keep your complaints as non-personal as possible argue only along the lines of the work practices in place , then you get results!
Some complaints the boss must act on , so you hurry things along to get action but are never seen to do so.

As i said it is just a game , you play to win!
out of all this you come to realise just how pathetic people are and that there are only a few real human beings.
