When at public places, I always feel ready for a fight

....Well depends on the place but like the mall is a prime example, there are a lot of stupid people who like to stare and I always tense up and get ready for whatever, my friend felt the same way, I just don't trust people, becuase everyonce in awhile there's some dumbasses who yell **** while in a group of like 12 people, when your alone or with 1 other person. Sometimes when I'm out I feel like I'm waiting for somebody to say something stupid to me so I can punch them in the head lol. No, I don't get into fights but everytime I go to places I prepare myself for one when there are a lot of people my own age, I'm really a nice guy when I talk to people but I just don't trust you til I know you. Anyone else ever feel the same? I don't act like this ina library lol but just some places...

Well, not physically fighting but I am at boiling point with anxiety when I am in the shops. You have to put up with all sorts of personalities so you’re bound to come across some @ssholes. Easier said then done but it's best to just ignore it if you can. Don’t give their opinions any value.

Yeah I do, I was at an outdoor event this summer and my friend and I walked down an alley to get there and there was like 15 people who said something dumb to me so I told them to "f--- off" but my friend stopped and said let it go so I did but was pissed the whole day.

Yeah, it does play on your mind and sometimes when you do ignore them, you think well it would of been more gratifying to kick their sorry ass.

I think it takes alot of practice of letting what they think go, it will when you think well of yourself you will realize how insignificant their thoughts really are and then what they say will not play in your mind anymore but your definitely not alone. I know logically that’s the case but still not been able to put those concepts into practice when problems like that arise. I will get a hang of it one day and I am sure you will to, you already have taken a step in the right direction.

I usually keep my head on a swivel lol. I just don't trust people. I don't like to be in a position where I can't see everything. Sometimes, I size people up... just in my head.

It's more of the paranoia that someone is going to mug/attack me that gets me. I often find myself clenching my fists subconsciously, but since i've been trained as a security guard now it's different because we get taught that having clenched fists sends out signals that you want to fight.
