Just exactly what is the difference between "Great Britain" and the "United Kingdom" anyway?

Which one includes Iceland?

Great Britain is just England I think. The United Kingdom is England,Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Though it gets murky with Northern Ireland which I think is part of Great Britain and we still have places like the Falkland Islands.

Nice try but no cigar!

2+2=5's answer is the correct one. You Britons who got it wrong should be ASHAMED of yourselves! ::p:

Well the Isle of Man is a bit of a funny one... it isn't part of the UK, but the UK government runs it, it is technically a seperate nation.

Tail-less cats are the sole population there yes.

If someone from the Isle of Man is referred to as "Manx," what do you call someone from the Isle of Wight?

"Wighty?" ....that could be taken the wrong way....

I've never understood the difference in terms....I just call the countries by their name....and if I don't know exactly where it is I say "over there by England". haha, geography is not my strongest subject....
