Just exactly what is the difference between "Great Britain" and the "United Kingdom" anyway?

Which one includes Iceland?

Great Britain is just England I think.The United Kingdom is England,Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Though it gets murky with Northern Ireland which I think is part of Great Britain and we still have places like the Falkland Islands.

Well the Isle of Man is a bit of a funny one... it isn't part of the UK, but the UK government runs it, it is technically a seperate nation.

Tail-less cats are the sole population there yes.

Silent,it's pronounced like white I think it is sort of half way between England and Ireland,but I could be wrong ::

Isle of Wight is in the south in the English channel. I think more of it goes into the sea each year though :/

I've never understood the difference in terms....I just call the countries by their name....and if I don't know exactly where it is I say "over there by England". haha, geography is not my strongest subject....
