Hey Sprawling, thanks so much! How submerged are your hands? To the wrists? How about your feet?

Also do you turn it on to full power before putting your hands and feet in? I know that with constant voltage iontophoresis this leads to a shock.

Yes, turn the power between 3.5 and 4 put your feet in first and then both hands at the exact same time. Put them in knuckles first then rotate. It's less painful that way. I usually have enough water to have my hands completely submerged covering 3/4 of the back of my hand. I used to cover my entire foot but now i just submerge it part way.

Hi Sprawling, got a couple more questions: 1) how frequently do you do sessions when you're just trying to maintain dry hands/feet? 2) if you ever stop sessions for a while and your hands/feet are back in a hyperhidrosis state, how frequently and how many sessions does it take to get back to dry? Thanks!

I do treatment once a week doing both hands and feet at the same time for a total of 1/2 hour. My treatment schedule has varied over the years from several times a week to once every 9-12 days or so. If I was to start over from scratch I'd say it would take me 7-10 straight days to achieve complete dryness except for the fingertips which can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months.

Hi Sprawling, doing my first treatment now. It feels very painless! Have you ever tried 1) going past the 3 or 4 power setting 2) doing longer than 30 min treatments and doing less frequently instead?

Also is it ok to touch metal objects like my MacBook because I have such high voltage going through me?

Great that you started treatment. I basically use between 3.5 and 4. I found no need to increase the pain level beyond 4. It's all about experimentation. I currently do treatments once a week. I have done treatments more than once a week in the past and I have done longer treatments. Currently 1/2 hour once a week doing 2 hands both feet at the same time works for me.

I'm not sure if using the Macbook during treatment is advisable. I usually set up my laptop so I can watch TV.

Keep us all informed of your progress. Also mention to others where you got your Galvanic Stimulator from.

I keep trying to post the link to the high voltage pulsed galvanic stimulator I bought, but it says it requires moderator approval and I don't think they are being approved. 3rd treatment going now!

Hi guys, I've been trying this method for the past 3 weeks, but unfortunately I have to report that it has not worked for me. Perhaps a 20% reduction in sweating, but my sweating is still very much a problem. I have used the high voltage pulsed galvanic stimulator on the highest power (power level 8 at 120hz) and I definitely feel it when I do my treatments. It just hasn't worked, and I was really hoping it would. Any tips guys?

Give it a few months. some people are highly resistant to ionto. I've had work and not work over the past 9 years. Don't give up yet. try not doing it for a week and see what happens. Have you been doing it every day? Try laying back on the current. With pulsed current you should barely be feeling it. Use a setting between 3 and 4. It may or not be your water? Experiment by adding 1/2 rain water to the mixture if you can collect some the next time it rains.

Don't give up! Another thing you can try is adding some Certain Dri to the mixture. It worked for me.

Hey Sprawling, ok I will keep trying. Thanks for the encouragement! How much certain dri do you use? I use about 1 gallon of water split among 2 containers. How much should I put in?

In the setting 3-4 I don't feel anything. I start feeling something between 4-5. Maybe I'll try that setting. At power level 8, it definitely hurts and my muscles kind of tense up a bit for about 20 seconds, and then I really don't feel much for the rest of the session.

Hey guys, I just wanted to report back. Sprawling's recommended device is working great for me now. It definitely took a while (about 3 months) for it to stop my sweating. I tried many different types of water concoctions and almost gave up but good thing I didn't. For me though I noticed the plain tap water here works just as well as adding salt, baking soda or even rain water. Also, instead of wash cloths under my hands and feet I use grip type kitchen drawer liners and its so much easier to pick up after the sessions are done. I also seem to notice more current with disposable roast sheets as opposed to thick non-disposable baking sheets. As for for the macbook question I use one during almost all my sessions with no issues.

Thanks so so much Sprawling!!!

Sprawling is correct about waiting a week after you finish treatments.. This is how it works for me now.. I do treatments and then wait 5-6 days and it stops sweating.. it sucks because I have to wait .. but thats what I have to do now..

Maintenance treatments. Frequency all depends on you. Some of us need it every day, others every 2 weeks. I do my maintenance treatments once a week. It's all about experimenting and seeing what works best for you.
