I work in sales... Its a frigging paradox if you ask me. Anybody else works with people/costumers at work?

Dealing with volumes of data from multiple sources, displaying it, presenting it online to non-tech people is quite nice.

But an office is not a perfect place to be. For me, it's never evolved past a school playground. That is a chilling truth. Maybe I'd have been better of as a teacher. I expected adults to be more mature than kids. Nothing's changed, apart having to generate your own income, meaning that you have to 'get on' with people who haven't grown up.

I'm an engineer so social interaction is not required too much. I'm still really scared to talk to my supervisor because I'm always scared of being judged and letting her down

civil engineering - i communicate well with coworkers since it's work-related. client interaction is limited to phone/email unless i'm visiting a job site or attending a pre-construction meeting. even the meetings are ok, because it's all professional and technical related. i work mostly alone and even though there's a lot of problem solving involved, it's still all based on technical specifications, so being overly creative isn't a requirement. it works well with my SA and other issues.
