What do you think would happen if...

...20 social phobes were put into the same room.

I have always wondered what would happen; would it be like normal situations were some people who are usually reclusive become extraverts, or will the room just stay silent?

I bet somebody around here has been to a social phobia group therapy session, so someone who has will have to come along, read this, and tell us what it was like to be with a group of social phobes. I'm interested to hear.

Peace

i think everyone would act as if it were any person. they would all have that same feeling or hesitation when it came to those people regardless of having S.A or not. i do however think that if you gave em some time they would open up but again this would happen in any social group

I can't possibly imagine...

Would it be silent? It's just not human nature, is it...

I guess newbie's right, eventually the more confident ones would open up and establish themselves... but who knows :p

Ive been in the room with 11 social phobes before at an SAS gathering in Toronto and had a great time over dinner then again at a bar.

Depending on the size of the room, the severity of the SA, and the physical characteristics of the people, either a brutal fight would break out and someone would end up killed, or an uncontrollable orgy would erupt from all of the tension  ... or they'd all enjoy a cup of tea together.

What if

Some people would probably talk and get comfortable, and some wouldn't. I know that I would probably be sitting in the corner ripping up leaves and shaking my foot while everyone else talked.
