What are your best character traits?

For me I guess it's out of the box-thinking. But this is also a handicap of mine, as I have never really formed beliefs that I have embraced as my own as I don't seem to able to make a choice. Settle for a belief so to speak.

And I can usually pretty much always understand where people are coming from. Even the most extreme and crazy of people, I can still kind of deduce and understand their mind workings. Sometimes I think I wouldn't fare so bad as a psychologist.

Does this make it difficult to get angry at people? I find it does for me in some cases.

I'm a good listener and I pride myself on that. Unfortunately I don't get the same attention back.

Sometimes, but it also has an opposite effect. It makes people predictable and that annoys me a lot/makes me cynical.

You really sound like Mr nice guy Mikey C, but unfortunately a willing horse is nearly always worked to death. ::(:

That's interesting. So you'd rather not have that ability?

This. Most people love to label others :loser, loner, creeper, energetic, douchebag etc I don't ,all i see is different persons with different personalities with their own stories to tell. That's why i understand some ppl very well to the point where i can even predict their actions.

Well it's a double edged sword.. On the one hand it's great to be able to understand people, especially those who are misunderstood by "normal" people , and I'm sure in certain professions this is a must have, on the other hand it's very awful and unhandy in social situations that most "normal" people have become predictable to me and certain behavior just annoys me so I avoid them.

It's kind of like when I have deduced what a person's stance is in life, and I know exactly how he will react in situations, that person becomes a boring predictable character to me. It may be a deeply rooted cynism and bias, I don't know, but most of the times I'm right.

I guess it also has a lot to do with being over-analytical of people's and my own behavior. Maybe because people have been over-critical to me in my childhood and teen years.

Overall, yes, I wish I could NOT have that ability because it's not really good for my social life. I guess it's kind of weird in retrospect that I listed it as my best character trait.

Knowing how someone will react based on their personality is not something I really consider. So you'd rather have friends that are little left-field?

Heh, yeah, I suppose it's not your best trait if you dislike it yourself.

I have always liked people who are a little left field, but not too much of course.

I like creative people who can make fun of themselves and the world. Most people are too ego driven and sure of themselves to me.
