What are you doing to get rid of SAD?

Doing what you fear anyway? :)

daily walks, trying to eat right.. (not always easy ha ha..)

I've read quite some books and stuff online, still researching things or reading inspirational stuff occasionally...
journalling/CBT, sometimes EFT/TAT.. or talking to people about things or stuff I don't know how to do, or who to speak to & how..

these are the obvious ones, it's late & I'm sleepy.. okay, trying to sleep right (again) would be one of the things too.. (going for walks with this purpose too..)

Hey there.

when I feel motivated I do a lot to try and help overcome my SA. Just some of the things I do:

Exercise regularly
Eat routinely
Drink lots of water
Sleep at routine times - try and make sure I wake up to see the morning (sometimes)
Force myself into situations that make me nervous (sometimes)
Try and change my thought patterns by making my thoughts positive
Try and generally be more positive (I say to myself a lot - I love life, I can't wait to see my friends and try and have fun, I am a positive person)
Talking to people on this site about my problems and working out the best way to deal with them

so yeah quite a bit. Not sure whether it is working like! I have improved a little recently so maybe it is doing something.

Try to challenge myself to do things I usually wouldn't (For example the other day I actually answered my phone lol despite the butterflies I got before doing so.)

Nothing at all. I'm unemployed just now. I go out when i need to, when people want me to. I thought for a while that I'm incurable.

I think it may be time for me to go to the doctor to get some medication but I'm not willing to go down that route.

There are lots of things that people can do even without physically moving!
Imagining the life you want, for one..
Changing negative thought patterns
Learning the concept that belief of something equals your reality, = having control over your reality.
Uhhhh
Even imagining doing the things that you fear.

Right now I am... facing my anxiety by trying to get to the cause. Sifting and finding the reasons of why I am so cautious and why I have been living for others. Going through my past. Also there has been a food cause for me, which has done heaps to help me... going gluten and casein/lactose free.. as we all know by now
Other things... going back to school
Being honest and learning to say what I feel and think to anybody around me (this was my first step, and the most helpful)
The mental things I mentioned...
Learning not to expect, learning to trust/rely on myself
Not telling people the things I want to achieve seems to help (no expectations from other people put on me to achieve these things)
Most important is the belief theory-related.. Believing that I am overcoming anxiety and believing that I will! And in times where I am going backwards, believing that I will get back to fighting but not pushing myself to do so
