What am I getting myself into??

OK, so I just got a phone call about 5 minutes ago from Petsmart asking me to come in for a job interview tomorrow at noon. This surprised me because I had applied online just the day before yesterday. I applied for the position of Pet Care Specialist. The job description says that they: "Work in our Specialty department and will assist Pet Parents find solutions related to fish, birds, reptiles, and small furry pets. Must be comfortable caring for and handling all species of pets in our stores. Provide water, food, and medicine to pets. Clean fish tanks, reptile habitats, small pet and bird cages".

I am pretty fond of animals, although I'll admit I'm not so certain how I'd be around reptiles. Or the so-called "pet parents" (pet owners) for that matter. I think I'm more afraid of the latter, haha. I just hope the interview goes well tomorrow. I'm trying to be optimistic, but when I spoke to the woman on the phone just a few minutes ago I was already tripping over my words and sounding awkward. I know I'll be so nervous that I'll flood my car with sweat on the way there. That's if my car even makes it all the way to my destination as it's been acting really weird lately. Like I couldn't get it to go over 43 MPH the other night kind of weird.
Anyway, I just hope I don't get bitten by a dog or some other animal tomorrow. Unless it's a venomous snake, of course.

don't worry it's very easy to get hired in retail! don't put too much importance on the interview because retail jobs are a dime a dozen. remember, they've been through a million interviews before (due to turnover) so they've heard and seen it all! if it doesn't work out, you can just apply at a different store. but you'll do just fine, even if you are batshit nervous (like me)! :)

edited to add: don't forget to give us an update and let us know how it goes.

Good luck with the interview- as you say, the 'pet parents' will probably be scarier than the reptiles. It might not be too bad if it's just you and the animals for at least some of the time. Hope it goes well.
