What a difference getting out of the house makes.

Well now that I finally graduated from college and working my way though a therapy program I thought I'd make a point of trying to get out as much as I can . Last night a friend of mine who organizes hockey at a local arena invited me to play, there were about 15 or so people and I didn't really know anyone besides him and another college friend who was in our program that he also invited out. They say getting out of the house and exercise makes you feel better but I always had a hard time motivating myself to do these things unless I had a purpose to, which was previously school. Anyways after a 3 hour game last night I felt great, this morning I skipped my usual routine of getting up and heading directly for the computer and instead hopped in the shower and went to the mall without the intent of actually buying anything. I ended up spending a few hours out and again felt that much better. I'm just posting this to say that if anyone had the same recluse syndrome I did, push yourself to go out, even if you have no intent of buying anything ,it makes a world of difference. I'm probably going to keep going to these hockey games every Sunday to get some exercise in but it's also a great way to meet new people. Have a good one!

That's a fantastic story, mate!

You're right - exercise and being around good people will make you feel better. I know that if I'm feeling a bit claustrophobic I will jump in the car and go for a drive. I don't even have to get out of the car or have a destination in mind - as long as I'm out of the house, I do tend to feel a little bit better. Of course, that doesn't always happen so it's on a case-by-case basis.

But for you, I'm glad the hockey game went well! Keep it up!

I love your screen name, because I love cars. R32 is my favorite generation of GT-R

Thanks! I've always been into imports, Skyline R32 and the 4th gen Supra are my two favourites - some day I'll have one sitting outside. There's actually an abandoned r32 in my friends underground parking, It crushes me every time I go over and see it sitting there.
