Well, that's when you get into the differences between geeks and nerds. There are conflicting definitions and grey areas and the terms tend to get used interchangeably. It depends who you ask, but as far as I'm aware, nerds are the brainy, intellectual types, geeks are obsessed with something, and dorks are socially inept. So you can be a star wars geek or a gamer geek, but of average or below average intelligence. If you're a super smart physics nerd, well then you're probably a physics geek too, and perhaps an awkward dork on top of that. I think of myself as more of a geek but sometimes I call myself a nerd. Really, I'm a bit of all three. I like math and science, I'm intelligent but not a genius, I love nerdy humour, I spend too much time on the computer, I have minimal social skills, etc. Or, as I like to put it, I belong to the three way intersection of nerd, geek, and dork!:
