Hi,
I am based in the UK and have been taking pro banthine for a while. It usually works well on an empty stomach (taken at least 45 minutes before any breakfast), but has some side effects on me, including tiredness, bloating, sensitivity to light and fogginess. Also, I have been prescribed some 15mg tablets, but sometimes it's best for me to take only half. They can't prescribe 7.5mg tablets, and the tablets are messy to cut.
I understand that Robinul/Avert may have fewer side effects (as it does not interfere with the brain as much), so I have ordered some 1mg tablets from pharmacy.ca.
A few questions:
1) Does anybody know how long it takes for it to be delivered to the UK from pharmacy.ca, and if the UK customs are likely to interfere?
2) Has anybody been successful in getting a UK GP to prescribe Avert or its equivalent? Will I need to referred to a specialist first? A specialist gave me the original prescription for pro-banthine.
3) Any feedback from people who have moved from pro banthine to Avert? I am currently taking one 15mg pro-banthine per day, but usually the effects are gone by mid-afternoon/after lunch. What would the equivalent dose for Avert?
Thanks,
Sam
