I know that if I just get out of bed and eat something, I will feel better about life. But that just seems like too much effort right now.

After nearly a year of not working out regularly (okay, that's an understatement), I began my running routine again. It was amazinggggg :D My body was thanking me the whole time. I really needed that. Can't wait to go again tomorrow!

But man... my calf muscles are really tight. I've never had that problem before. I must really be out of shape :/

Run every other day to give you body time to rebuild.

Anyway..good job! I hope you keep it up.

That is probably delayed muscle onset soreness (it's a real thing I swear) that happens after long periods of inactivity then sudden exercise... it will go away soon - it is just your body getting used to using muscles in ways that it is not used to - quite uncomfortable but it wont happen again as long as you keep it up.

and you should...well done.

Then again, do they reeeaaallly need all of their tails? Who knows, they might like sharing..

This reminds me of the other day at work, some random guy was walking past when I was taking some dogs out...he wanted to know if our clinic will cut the tail off his cat. I was like, um, no, unless it has some sort of tail injury? He said, no, he just likes cats without tails. I said, no, we don't do that. He wanted to know why. I said because cats need their tails. He wanted to know why they need their tails... :kickingmyself: Eventually I just said, okay, well I need to bring these dogs back inside, bye!

Oh yeah, I know :) They're fine by now, actually. I've gotten muscle soreness before after workouts, but never the weird tightness I got earlier. Just freaked me out a little but it's all good now.

And thanks! :)

All joking aside, that's terrible. I hate it when people have tails, ears or whatever else removed for cosmetic reasons. And a cat of all creatures.. like one of the few domestic animals that uses it for balance.

Yeah, that's what I told him. I mean, it's one thing to dock a dog's tail (which isn't great to begin with), but a cat's? Might as well just rip their claws out while you're at it, and file their teeth down.. *shudders*

Interesting episode of Hoarders last night where the subject was still grieving the loss of his partner after 9 years. The helpers described the house as being full of sadness. He was able to be more decisive about what to throw out by dressing as one of his alternative personalities.

That show is so sad.

At last.

I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.
