Overwhelmed

I keep complaining that i am lonely yet the more contacts i get online and thus more people to keep in contact with, the more overwhelmed i feel. I know i might sound an ungrateful ba#tard but i think i'm just not used to having people wanting to talk to me. My fingers are getting a good workout typing so much though::

Anyone else feel overwhelmed by too many people to message?

I definitely understand where you're coming from. Sometimes I keep my messenger offline just so I don't have to worry about being bothered at that particular time. I think for introverts like us, we do want people to talk to, but we maybe need to limit our contacts to a just a few people that we connect with the most and would want to talk to. Talking to too many people is overwhelming, and sometimes if I've been overloaded, it leads to retreating from any conversations for a while... and I feel bad because I don't want people to think I'm purposefully snubbing or ignoring them, I just need a break.

No..i only have 3 people on mine & one is my brother & he never talks on there

yes that can happen to me also. especially because i'm extra slow with PMs and messages. but it's my favorite part about these sites, so i'm not complaining. but i feel guilty if i post in the forums while i have unanswered PMs. but the forums are often easier to handle, for me.
