There's a brand new series that starts tomorrow at 9pm on Sky Atlantic called The Following. It looks pretty good.

although, house is probably the better show cinematically and writing-wise

I really like Wilfred on FX, and the first three seasons of Misfits on Hulu (not Hulu+)... And yeah, Game of Thrones is really good, as are the books.

high quality shows i can think of are: misfits (series), QI (is really clever and funny), Derren Brown with his "metalisism" is baffling & highly entertaining (esp his recorded live shows), I really like Jonathan Ross and these guys called "penn and teller" and they finally did a show called "Fool Us". i think your would like "misfits" the most.

Breaking bad is awesome!

Edit: haha i stopped typing half way on my post and went outside and in that time "IntheLabyrinth" suggested misfits to! shows how good it is

I love Breaking Bad (who doesn't?) and Suits as well.

Someone here recommended Fringe earlier. If you were a fan of Lost, you should give it a shot. Even if you aren't, watch it anyway, because it's great.

Chuck was a great show up until a certain point. I feel the same way about Dexter and Supernatural (actually, I only liked Supernatural for the eyecandy).

I'd recommend the Walking Dead, Six Feet Under, Pushing Daisies (all the references to dead things omg!) and Misfits. All excellent shows.

Suits and Breaking Bad are awesome! I recommend Boardwalk empire! It's AMAZING. Or Homeland. Or Entourage. Or Californication. Or Shark Tank.
