Omg.. I've always totally thought it was the 2nd pic
What I don't get is all the hate towards masks.
Completely agree. While it was nice going to the movies nearly maskless, I still have been wearing mine in stores where you're closer to people. Today I went into my local Aldis and was surprised to see so many other people wearing theirs despite the state laying the requirements ever so slightly. Yesterday when I went to Lowe's I think I was one of few people actually still wearing one. I think I'll always keep a mask on me for a long time, especially during flu season and such. I may not wear it everywhere all the time, but I'll definitely feel more comfortable knowing I have one on me in case someone won't use their manners and will continue to hack and spew their sick germs into the shared space where other people are located and aren't socially distancing. Ugh, hated that kind of behavior even before this pandemic. What I don't get is all the hate towards masks.
Even if they aren't as effective as we thought, what's the harm in wearing one?

Yea it's a mindset that I don't get either. Here in Oz people mostly seem to be doing the right thing, but there are those that claim covid is just a scam and it's the government trying to control you etc etc. There's just been a breakout in the state of Victoria, they've had to go into a 7 day lockdown and what do those loopy nut jobs do? They immediately go and have a protest, gathering in a large bunch saying their personal rights are being infringed uponCompletely agree. Stupid thing is if those idiots got covid they'd be the first ones running to the hospitals asking for help.
The thing is, it's not just about those individuals and their 'rights'. It's about protecting others, those that are vulnerable. The elderly, sick, disabled, those with weakened immune systems.. there's a young lad I know of who's recovering from leukemia. If he got covid he'd be stuffed. How shitty would that be, you fight off leukemia only to die from covid..
That's what gets my goat up when it comes to these people, they're the true definition of selfishness.
