Maybe it's because I watched that video with seriousness but I didn't laugh at it at all.

And with the whole "Laughter is the best medicine" sort of thing, I'm very weird because a lot of the time, when I hear laughter, I feel worse when depressed. That's why I don't like comedies. I tend to want things that always have depressing scenes in them (and those scenes are usually what I think are the best scenes in the movie)

I... don't know what's wrong with me, but that's how I am.

you dont even have to laugh to appreciate this. It almost makes my problems feel small in comparison and he manages to stay upbeat. The words he says are true, i dont know did it not effect you at all? This guy makes me want to enjoy life more. I want to meet this man.

This is just how I am. I think it's because of the whole bully problem in my past. when I'm "OKish" I don't really feel anything if someone laughs but when I'm depressed, I feel worse when I hear someone laughing.

I felt sorry for the guy because he has a disability but from what he said, I didn't feel anything really... :/

i think you might have missed the point alittle is all.. He does not want you to feel sorry for him, i think he was trying to send a message to all types of people. I think you should watch one more time and have a dance party with him :)

Well yeah, but I never laugh when depressed so that kinda defeats the purpose. If you're supposed to laugh when depressed to stop being upset, that's impossible for me to do, because I almost never laugh unless I'm watching something EXTREMELY funny like this guy. And even then, I usually only have a scoff laugh rather than a full fledge "Hahaha". :/

*watches again and attempts the dance but fails*

... :/ I couldn't get into the dance. Maybe that's why I can't laugh to it (I wasn't much of a dancer anyway)

Also, just to answer his question about "what gets you pumped", well, for me, it's pacing to music so I can think. I don't laugh about it but I feel a little better because of it because it's an excape of reality to my own imagination. Most of the time, I think of possible AMVs I could make if I had the right programs to edit the clips and do the effects. But as far as trying to dance to the music I listen to, it would be kind of mixed signals seeing as a majority of the songs I listen to are depressing.

This song for example. (If I were to make an AMV out of this, it would be for Mewtwo's backstory when he was a kitten)

I actually didn't laugh.... I started dancing. Hahah, it's a really good video. Thank you :)
When he said life is supposed to be silly it reminded me of the movie Harold and Maude, when Maude told him "..every one has the right to make an ass out of themselves. You can't let the world judge you too much."

yeah you do seem to fixated on being depressed counting on the dark humor. but my point was not having to laugh becuzz your depressed but when you laugh or even smile you feel alot better than being deprssed am i rite?

Well laughing, yes. Smiling, no. I can fake a smile and it doesn't mean anything. (I went to talk to a counselor once when I was still going to college and he said to smile and asked if I felt anything and I didn't)

Actually in all honesty, I can "turn off" my outer look when depressed sometimes. The only time when I can't hold those emotions in is when someone utters the phrase "Are you OK?" and then I burst into tears because I know I'm not.

It didn't make me laugh, but it instantly put a smile on my face. I'm still smiling! I don't think that he was ridiculous and I didn't have an urge to laugh at him. That made me happy.
