My first day was actually pretty fun. 8D I got to work with a student manager (his first time being manager), and another newbie worker (who was very good at handling the cooking). What they had me do at first was I helped clean the dishes with the sanatizer machine and I wiped the tables.

Afterwards, I got to do my first order (which wasn't the greatest thing because I could find every button on the cashregister until when people ordered the basket which everyone just, apparently, LOVES!)

The manager took care of it, and kept trying to tell me that even though I have AS, "It's just food. Nothing to get worried about. :)" He's a really cool guy. :3

I then got to work on the sandwiches, which I didn't mind makes the meal so much, it was just folding the damn paper! It looks easy until you try it... I could never keep it closed. x-x

The orders started to slow down around 1ish because the lunch rush was over. During this time, we took the time to clean up the kitched and made a new batch of the loose meat. (Oh. By the way, the kitchen way slippery as all hell. x-x I need new shoes)

Really, the only thing any of the customers that said to me that was negitive wasn't even really aimed to me but at the food. "Oh, I don't wanna eat this. This meat's all dry". I didn't say anything because.. well, what could I say? I just walked off back into the kitchen to avoid the akwardness. o-o;

All in all. I had fun. x3 (Also today, it's gonna be even greater since it's my little brother's birthday so... I CAN HAS CAKE TOO! 8D )

Great to hear the 1st day went well!

Maybe you can talk to the manager or other people who worked there longer about what to say or do if a customer has a complaint.. (eg can you offer replacement or such, or when do you call the manager if needed or someone else..) The idea is to make customers happy as much as possible, within limits as appointed by the rules and company guidelines.. Maybe they even have a manual or any written policy on these things?

You have a very sweet face, I bet the customers and staff liked you a lot!!

Anyway, great to hear about your 1st day, wishing you many good ones!! :)

And YAY for the birthday guy - congratulations!

The manager who worked today is the only one remaining original member from the first crew when Maid-Rite opened, but what he said was that if they have any real complaints, they should just go to him. The workers don't have to do anything about it.

I would hope so, I know the staff likes me at least a little. The manager said I was actually doing very well for my first day too. :3

Thankies. x3

He's turning 16 today. :3 As far as I know, he'll be getting a tree stand for his birthday because dad's getting him into hunting.
