How much does music affect you?

I feel very very angry , agitated and anxious and offended when music is being played in shops, cafes, pubs or a neighbour has there music on etc.

Im extremely sensitive to moods in music, I dont understand why people like it so much and start to dance and sing along to it, i feel alien to music that is of the world.

But saying that, very rarely i will hear a song and just feel it touch my heart and i will have an ....oh i love this song feeling and it doesnt upset me then.

Again though i feel alien to people that just love music.

I find it intrustive...almost like it makes me feel vulnerable to being attacked, if i cant hear a preditor.....then im going to feel anxious right?

I’m not proud of it, but I’ve always been a very impressionable person. I chalk it up to my overall sensitivity. So yes, music is included in that. On an hour long drive, I can run the gamut of moods, from happy to sad, and everything in between, depending on what’s playing on the radio.

Music is my life. If I had to lose all of my senses but one, I would definitely keep my hearing. I would go insane without it.

Music with lyrics that seem to be written about what I'm going through in my life at the moment really effect me deeply. Melancholy music makes me cry. Uplifting songs help me get out into the world although this is so hard. Music inspires me to write.
