How is your progress so far in terms of overcoming social anxiety

I think I've made a lot of progress with it. I've learnt that I can have a conversation if I'm forced into a situation where I'm needed to and there's even sometimes I do honestly want to go out and socialise and have fun and do so.
But then I have crashing bitter moods that prevent me from doing anything. I've learn that on these days there's not much point in trying and I should be alone a lot.
So it's more I think i've learnt about myself and learnt how to adapt to different situations, moods etc rather than overcoming it. I don't think I have the same "SA" as most people here anyway although I do fear people when I am low. I have more problems with conversation and mood swings...

so maybe a little progress then :) The key is to never give up

I think I have improved a lot, since last July. There was a anxiety test I did and I scored 32, which suggests I don't even have mild social anxiety. I have controlled anxiety, not overcome it. Controlling it to a manageable level is enough.

I think my extreme anger thats been building up in me for ages now is actually helping to deminish a little of my SA. Of course this can't be classed as "overcoming" it, but the extreme anger is definitely having a positive impact on reducing it.
