Hi everyone!

Another newbie here! I haven't officially been diagnosed with social anxiety but I know I have some form of it, there is a pretty big list of disorders/syndromes I've been told I might have, I just need to get to a therapist which hopefully will happen soon. I'm 39 years old (female) and have had a myriad of problems that nobody I know has ever had, I have known something was wrong with me since I was about 5, pretty much as long as I can remember! I can't believe I've never found this forum before! It's good to be among people who won't ridicule me. Hope to make some new friends here! :)

Same here. But, like you, I just know there's something a little off with me (in my case, love-shyness, depression, and serious confidence issues) compared to other people my age (25).

Anyway, this is not about me. Have a big ol' yarn with your therapist and hopefully they can find out what's bothering you and you can work on correcting these things. Remember: you're 39, but life begins at 40! At least that's what I've heard. :D

Welcome to the forum.

Hello AstraeaLunaAvani :) Welcome to the site.
I am 39 too. I am not looking forward to turning 40 next year! lol, are you?

Hello! :) Ugh I don't even want to think about turning 40, if I'm still living in my mom's basement working a miserable minimum wage job, I will probably kill myself. I know we shouldn't make it a big deal, it's just a number, and if we didn't know how old we were, we wouldn't even think about these stupid milestones!
