Every time my mom introduces me to someone she tells me to "Say hi", like i'm a little kid who needs to be reminded or something. It's so annoying! Don't you hate that?

My mom has done that my whole life. "Say hello", "Say thank you". It drives me nuts. My Mom talks to my whole family like we are retards.

My dad never really did and my mum gave up long ago, but I do remember one time when I was going out the front door for secondary school and she told me to 'try and mix' or words to that effect. I'm pretty sure one of my friends (!) was there too and it made me feel even worse with it being said in front of him. Thinking about it still gives me the same feeling. Ugh.

I thought that my Mom was the only one who does this. It's so annoying. She'll be like "did you say hello?" That's part of the reason why I stay in my room if someone is at our house.

well when i was younger my mom would tell me that. like when we would go to a family gathering thing or whatever. she would tell me to go say hi to people. So did my dad. Not so much anymore, cause now i dont even see my mom. which is good :D

Ahhh!!! I'm almost 18 and my mom still does that to me. It makes me feel like I'm two years old. Fortunately I'm 500 miles away from her at college, so she can't do that to me anymore. :)
