Yeah. I don't have OCD and am barely familiar with the disorder, and can already tell it isnt. Plus there are moments when he has to use a godamn tissue to open a door, and then times where he's getting completley dirty and is calm about it.

I havent watched the show in a while, but it's really interesting. I missed the whole part where he shifted assistances. From that one blonde girl to that other New Yorker chick.

Can someone give me background info on that?

Is it really not an accurate portrayal of OCD? What exactly would be an accurate portrayal of OCD? Doesn't the disorder vary between people?

Yeah, I think it varies, from less extreme to more extreme..

Maybe Monk is on the 'more extreme' scale.. to the point of 'caricature' maybe.. It was really funny when they gave him pills so he became 'macho' and didn't see the tiny details anymore (and became 'normal' but bad at what he does, detecting crime!! very insightful!!)

I think Monk has more than OCD though, kinda... (?)

They changed assistants yup, I liked the 1st one better... He got the 2nd one when the 1st one left, but I don't know what happened to the 1st one (didn't watch that part lol)
