Do you sing out loud in the car?

I sing in the car.

And then clam up while I'm waiting for lights in case somebody sees me.

Yeah I do that too. I also turn down any music I'm listening to while I'm at the lights, in case the person in the next car hears it. ::

I will do this, too, especially if the music is highly annoying to others.

Yeah, only not when I'm not moving. People from the side or person in front of me could see me sing/scream ... No way i'd do that. ::

Singing in the car is weird because it's the one thing that I enjoy doing enough to continue doing even after I've been "caught". Happy moments are few and far between enough that if someone thinks that I look like an ass then, oh well...
