I can´t take cruelty to animals. It´s horrible that this is going on every day and I can´t do nothing... The penalties to these people are ridiculously low - as if animals were things only, not living beings.

I'm sorry someone stole your kitten! thats awful. boy is it ironic though that you guys want to punish the people in cruel ways. i never understood eye for an eye. i guess it makes sense math wise but otherwise it blows my mind.

If I (or anyone) were to try talking to these people, I'm fairly sure they'd just laugh in my face. I'm a believer in treating people how they treat others... and therefore they should get what they give.

It is not. Humans are supposedly intelligent enough to reflect on their actions and to decide what is right or wrong. The animals which are being tortured for the sole, perverted entertainment of humans are in many ways inferior to us. They have no chance at defending themselves.

Intensive farming is terrible and inhuman. Millions of animals every year live miserable lifes just so we can have cheap meat.

And yet it is more or less the only way to make a profit in farming these days. We have a small farm, and the animals have a good life with us, but we're losing money hand over fist. Because of what the government (mostly Tony Blair) has done to farming, you have to have at least 300-500 milking cows to make it worthwhile. We had about 50. Also when you have that many (say, 400) cows in calf (pregnant,) it's pretty unfeasible to keep an eye on them all, so many calves die during birth. At our farm we help each cow give birth, so it's rare for us to lose a calf, and it's easier for the cow, too. That doesn't happen very much with these massive farms, though.

Also, these days a lot of calves don't get to see their mothers... instead they live in small pens and get their milk from a false, rubber udder. Or from a bucket. I really don't like that because they miss out on that bond and love from their mum. That's how it is for a lot of farms now though because it's so much easier and cheaper. Probably another one of the reasons we're losing money at our place.

i try to have a laugh and a joke on here, but theres only so much i can take before i break down and cry and want to hit my head against a brick wall!!

people who have ocd, only think of these thoughts, i learned that on here

people who think its fun to hurt any animal for their own satisfaction should be fkn shot!!

if i ever catch the bast*rds that stole my wee kitten, i would have no problem hitting them over the head with a hammer! (they knew what they were doing)

I have OCD and I couldn't think of hurting an animal. I'm with you, I don't understand how a human being could have such little respect for these little ones lives..if they don't respect their lives, what about human life.

I've seen some horrific stuff in newpapers and videos against the fur trade and so on. The images haunt me to this very day. I'm just so sickened as how people have enjoyment at inflicting suffering on poor innocent creatures. It's as if the sicko's who do this see animals as inferior to us and not even living things who feel pain and emotion.

They should get the same punishment as they would get for doing the same to people. Just because animals can't talk doesn't mean they should be treated as inferior. To be honest animals are probably much more intelligent than many idiotic humans on this planet!

yes u are rite those bastards shot be strung up and shot, i HATE animal cruelty with a passion anyone who inflicks it upon a helpless animal deserves to be shot. I think no i know i would rather see a person being hurt then any animal i know thats a lot to say but three things i feel strong about are:

Animal Crulety
Never Raise Your Hands In Anger To Women
Child Abuse.

I dont have many things i feel strongly about but those three are a NO NO!

Exactly why I am becoming a vet, there's so many evil and unemotional people in the world. Particularly in America, where it is filled with the narcissistic majority. If animals were humans it would be a worse crime. Those same animal abusers will eventually become abusers of humans.
