Connections

When we connect with someone else we do so on various levels, right?

These connections might be:

emotional
thinking
music tastes
interests
physical/sexual
values
humor

Anything else, what other ways do we connect?

How important is it to have these connections, can we live without them?

If we cant connect on all of these levels with the one person, is it ok to find them with others?

Thoughts?

Of course it's important to have these connections. Maybe a small percentage of people can truly live without them, but they are not coming to this site are they? On the question of being able to live with it the answer is yes. I have been able to live with it for years, but I'll be the first to admit I want more out of life than to simply live with it. I want to overcome it or at the absolute least put it in check.

I've connected with people going through the same battles. Knee pain and now anxiety.

I connect with runners too, they get it!

Interesting question.

The "perfect" person isnt going to have what's shown on your list in equal amounts.

So no, You may find a person who makes you laugh but who isn't into your music for example- so you're taste and your values would change to commadate.
