Yesterday, while I was working at the library, there were some teens causing disruptions. I was the closest employee to them, but lacked the self-confidence to approach them. Two librarians (including the branch manager) approached the teens and dealt with the situation.
I realize that they have more experience with these things, but I wish that I had the guts to do something, especially since I'd like to be considered for positions requiring more responsibility.
I think the only way to gain confidence in these situations is to experience them for myself, but I don't know how to approach this. Any ideas?
