Maybe this will benefit someone, at my gym we have sauna's after the sauna I take cold bath/shower I feel such relieved, Im fully relaxed and my mood is lifted up for several hours....I go stressed brainfogged depressed to the gym, after the cold shower I go happy and relaxed back its almost an addiction.
I won't think this has many benefits for social anxiety, but for general anxiety and depression its the best there is.

I actually don't like the sauna heat it causes me panic attacks, but if I go out im more relaxed then before when I went in it (maybe such a relieve im out ?) But from 90 celcius to almost ice cold water gives the best shock... Or try at home 5 min hot then 2-3min ice cold when you grasp for air it also makes me refreshed and alive....but the best comb for me sauna/cold bath shock its a shame its cold water I actually want to be covered in ice.

Yeah, last summer I took cold showers (as cold as I could tolerate) every morning for awhile and it definitely helped with my depression. I've heard contrast showers are best, but I have a hard time switching from hot to ice cold.

I have study that its helpfull for depression: Adapted cold shower as a potential treatment ... [Med Hypotheses. 2008] - PubMed - NCBI
It increases noradrenaline, mirtazapine an dual anti-depressant also increases it.
It gives anti-depressant effect so for anxiety it should also be effective, and if your sweating problem is related to anxiety then yes it does relieve sweating, at least it does it for me.
It isn't that weird our ancestors were hunting in the snow, running away in cold water for prey... nowadays we never get cold in the car at home, job, clothing...the body and brain doens't get those frequent stress shocks so the body and brain can activate to repair it self... maybe thats a cause beside other causes in the increase of depression/anxiety in our modern days....maybe thats why in africa there is less anxiety/depression because there in survival mode most of the time

If you like to go swimming. Try open water swimming theres no better feeling. always makes me feel great. The combination of being outdoors, beautiful countryside and getting good exercise. The cold water gets your heart rate up and when you get out you just feel amazing. I dont get the same feeling after swimming in a pool but if I have a cold shower after it makes me feel great so must be something in being cold that lifts the spirits.

I've a had 2 007 shower the results are. I sweat less but the period of time it takes to disappear is greater than just a hot. Like I say tho it helps maybe after time my body/nervous system could right its self or adapt to this??

Who knows I'm happy with the results so far,not bad for 2 complete attempts. Blummoing freezing :) thanks guy/girl for this idea :)
