Becoming a moderator

Hi guys,

So I'm pretty sure this has been asked loads of times, sorry :: , but how can you become or apply to become a moderator on this site? I've started doing some volunteer work in my home town and I was looking for volunteer jobs on their website, and one of the ones was as a moderator for a website/forum about depression. And I thought that that was something that sounded good and that I'd be good at, but then I realised I'd much rather do it for the website that has helped me so much!

Or does this forum already have enough moderators and people who want to be moderators?! Sorry if this is a stupid question ::

I think it's something that all the moderators must decide on and then they come to you and ask if you'd like to join? I'm not entirely sure, it's came across my mind a couple times as well but it's not easy. They take a lot of crap from people and there are the crazies (MRB, For Real ). They do seem to have quite a couple here though.

EDIT: They have quite a couple mods I meant, not crazies.

Someone got banned for impersonating a moderator, I wonder what the webmaster would do to you?
