Are you illegitimate?

My mom died when I was three months old. She was only 22 when she got pregnant. I don't even know if my dad is dead or alive. It's
Like I wish I wasn't born. Now it's like I'm living in two worlds, Philippines and America. I had to be sent to the Philippines because I was such an irritation to my family. Now I feel pissed on living here. I wished I was like other teens, teens who have real parents.

hmm, no, I wasn't. I sometimes thought it intriguing and romantic :)
Maybe I read too many books where the main hero/ine had a mysterious past??

Your story does read like something from a book!! Be proud of who you are - there was probably a lot of passion and maybe love...? Maybe someday you will find your dad, who knows?

Phillipines are a beautiful place from what I've seen online! You're lucky to live there!! You can probably travel all over the world and live internationally once you earn your own money!

People of mixed heritage are very interesting!! It can be tough until you find your place under the sun, just know that some people will probably find you more fascinating because of who you are!! :)

Just because other teens have "real parents" does not make them any better/happier than you or anyone else by default.

What I hate about the Philippines is that it is a religious nation. If people see me self- harm, they'll think there is a demon inside me. I'll get really pissed when people say that.

No I'm not illegitimate but I don't know where my father is either.

Who do you live with, and why were you sent to the Philippines?

I'd class you as an orphan which is not exactly the same as illegitimate (and there's nothing wrong with being illegitimate!). Being an orphan has to be the worst thing in the world, at least part of your family rallied round though, it might feel like crap that they sent you away. Maybe there's a member of your family that is easier to approach than the rest? Tell them how sad you are feeling.

The consequences surrounding your conception and birth aren't your fault. It's not like you chose to be 'illegitimate' or an orphan, whichever the case may be.

As a human being, though-- you should have someone you can ask for help from. Someone to listen to you. Someone who can understand your unhappiness and talk to you about it.
Some religious people go to god or jesus, others can go to an authority figure, a doctor, a therapist, a teacher, a friend... you need to find someone or something to turn to for help.
I know that asking for help can be scary but if you never speak up and make your feelings known; nothing will change.

If you're unhappy in the Philippines, there are things you can do to improve your quality of life and happiness-- even if you can't move away from the Philippines.

I'm not an orphan anymore, I was adopted by my uncle and aunt. They're conservative and strict but I'm okay with that. Maybe I shouldn't post teens with real parents on the thread.

I'm staying with my grandma right now. I'm leaving to the US for two weeks to see my parents but I have to go back for school in the Philippines.

I'm sorry. My boyfriend is from the Philippines so I know what you are talking about. The first thing I'd tell you is to get out of there :x ... Of course, I can't sit here and judge EVERYONE from there....but even my boyfriend who is Filipino hates Filipinos for the same reason. I have a bio mom that I know, and I've never met my bio dad. My real mother is abusive, so I wish I didn't have parents. I'd say you have to replace your parents with friends and other supportive people in your life.
