Are you a Highly Sensitive Person?

15 here- but I wasn't sure about some of them- and sometimes it depends- like I'm not always sensitive to the same exact things all the time- one day one thing, the next another.

One thing I wanted to say, I think people who scored high on the test are very likely to be aspergers. Aspergers are very sensitive to noises and light, especially fluorescent lightning (I am not sensitive to light or fluorescent light, noises bother me sometimes extremely, other times not that much - especially I hate the sound of TV from the next room - it freaks me out).
I'm not that sensitive to light, I think, but very sensitive to noises. My psychiatrist is "certain" that I don't have Aspergers. I don't trust him, despite being a very experienced psychiatrist.

Hmm... 26 out of 27. I don't mind violent movies (sometimes) so that was the only one I didn't check.

Haha yes, I get like that too! The sound of alarms drives me insane, and alarm clocks are the worst because I hate getting up the mornings. I don't understand those ball-shaped alarm clocks that you can safely throw across the room to stop them ringing - if I throw an alarm clock I want it to smash, dammit!

Do the self-test:

Self Test

Im not bored enough to take the survey right now.

But I did have an interesting self-relization today, that i'd like to share with guys.

When I was growing up my parents followed the common idea that:

If you ignore bad behavior in a person who is trying to get attention then they will stop, because there not getting the attention they want from acting in that bad way.

I realized today that them using this method on me has made me somewhat "over sensitive" because whenever people dont respond the way I think they will, or should. Then I automatically think that I did something wrong.

I never stop to think that maybe something happened to them, or something else is wrong, or their just tired or something. I automatically think that I did something to chase them away.

Anyways thats just a little thought I had today, and I thought i'd share it with you because it may apply to some of you too.

I'm not sure I understood. Are you saying I'm trying to get attention?

Hah, nooo. It was just on the topic of being highly sensitive.

I was talking about what I realized, and why I think i may be over sensitive some times. Because I always think things are my fault, even though there not.

Sorry for the confusion buddy.
