I don't believe that. Do YOU judge everyone based on how they look? If no, why do you think all the other people do? If yes, stop, it's bound to make your world less colourful, duller and missing a lot of great people.

You do it instinctively.

For instance, you classify females based on appearance, you dont even know it.

Female signs of fertility
-high cheekbones
-thin
-fat in cheekarea
-symmetry
-round face

Male sign of fertility
-high cheekbones
-wide jaw
-narrow chin
-brow ridge
-eyebrows

Sure, you can make up for your inferior exterior, but it's difficult. Look at all the attractive people in hollywood, and find me one that doesnt have at least 4 out of the 5 qualities.

I know personally, theres no real distinction between the average and above average range. I think thats like most.

thelema-only thing to add is a smile! see your point with the braces though-i had them, don't know anyone SA or not who gives a proper grin with braces on.

I'm afraid that is true. Think of the scenario now. Two guys are in a bar, one of them has model looks, and has a toned body, the other is average looking and has an average body shape. Which one will get approached by a girl first...Well obviously the first one. I'm just saying that no matter what a persons personality is like the first thing that gets noticed is the way they look.

Hey Thelema~ You look innocent and nice. Very approachable. Are you a red head? The long hair works for u. As for the chest hair.. U might want to keep the beast tamed. :lol: some might get offended. You have guts! I would never post my pic~ 8O all the judging and criticizing..eeek, I would just die!!~~

No, just light brown hair and I've since cut it. I've been told it makes me look older, but I miss my long hair.

It's not so bad..I dare you to post your picture :D

This thread is a bit old but I'm gonna post anyways. Yes people and society in general judge you on your looks. That's why you should present yourself as best as you can. Groom well, dress well, try to be in good shape. But just because other people judge you based on your looks doesn't mean you have to judge yourself based on your looks. And ultimately, people will judge you based on whether or not you love yourself. Confidence is worth a lot more than high cheekbones. You guys would be doing yourself a great favor if you derived your self esteem from your abilities and personality rather than looks, that's all I'm trying to say.
