  • Well yes, people do act like stubborn children, but with 15v15 battles, the stubborn childishness is sort of diluted, and it's harder to ruin the game for the whole team.
I guess WoT is more like a MOBA than something like WOW. Two teams of 15 tanks each go at it for up to 15 minutes. As long as you don't do anything too stupid, you don't even have to talk to anyone, but you still get to benefit from everyone on the field being a real, thinking person. I can easily play for a couple hours, carry my weight on the team, and not even notice that it's multiplayer. Otherwise, it's a rather slow-paced shooter with generally realistic armor mechanics and a focus on strategy and positioning more than reflexes.

Being about tanks is also a pretty big plus, as far as I'm concerned.
I do a lot of screwing around in the Arma games. I dabble in grand strategy games (Europa Universalis and the like), and I still regularly play a few 10+ year old favorites. When I'm in my dorm (with 480 mbit internet) I tend to play of World of Tanks more than anything (about the only online-only game I can stomach).

Every once in a while, I try to get my mind around Dwarf Fortress, to no avail. The only roguelike I've really gotten into is Cataclysm DDA (free ASCII zombie-survival game).

I'm not ashamed to admit that I fire up Minecraft sometimes, too.

Recently I've been on sort of a SimCity 4 kick, and I've been doing some space janitorial work in Viscera Cleanup Detail.

    This concludes my long answer.
