Well, it's not for everyone but I will tell you that I read it in rehab and it was my 2nd rehab in 3 months and after reading that book I found peace of mind, hope and joy and have been sober ever sense. The author is very good at describing how the mind works and at the least you will think it is interesting.

I'm going to reread it again at a later point to really absorb the gist of it, lol. I do deal with an abundance of thoughts throughout the day so maybe it will play effective in the same regard. Just can't see how I'm going to be able to seperate myself. Thanks

Also, I firmly believe that people HAVE to have a desire to know God and no concrete or scientific evidence is based on his existence because it's all a personal witness. God has no control over the choices that we make. He gave us the ability to make choices because we are free to do whatever we want. But we all have to be responsible for the consequences for our choices and so because we are not perfect, we have to have faith in Him in order to grow from our mistakes. So thank you again for taking the time to read and understand my brief testimony of the one supreme being who does exist and loves us so much.

Hi sully, I just wanna say thank you for your response to my comment on the thread: 'Do you believe in god?' because what you said is so true about the reality of this life. When you look at the world around you, the stars at night esp., even though there's still suffering and destruction elsewhere, there is an equal amount of goodness that exists because of God. My level of understanding has helped me to keep hoping that something better will come in the future. It springs from my own desire to be close to him because he's helped me get through the challenges that I face each day. You only get things in return when you ask for them and give thanks.
