Is your depression worse at a certain time of day?

Yep, mine is definitely worse in the evening too. It's at its least in the morning definitely, I seem to wake up with some optimism that the day might go well, or I guess I haven't had to face it the few hours I've been asleep so I'm refreshed. But the evening is definitely when it's the worst, but before it gets dark cos I'm fine at night aswell.

I just hate evenings because things get worse for me at that time of day also...I guess that morning optimism is true because I always feel better during that time, and then such feelings start to slowly decline until night comes, since I also feel somewhat
better at that time. I wonder why that happens...

See you around :)

I feel worse in the early-mid evening I'd say, but its really triggered by anything at random points in the day a lot of the time.

Tends to get worse in the evening, after a day of loneliness and having to deal with selfish, rude people. It just wears me down. In the mornings I just feel nothing but dread.

When i am awake.

:D::(: Well put, same as me.

It used to alter throughout the day. It'd be worse in the mornings for me... I'd wake up at 5am with a feeling of dread, and never get back to sleep..... it's called melancholic depression when that happens - I once read :/
Nowadays it's just consistent.

At night. Probably because this is the period of time in which I just lay and think. Mainly about my life and my dissatisfaction of it...not to sound like a pessimist =)

as well as at certain times of day, mine sometimes worsens during certain times of the month. i attribute this to being a girl, though.

I'd say 1:00-5:00pm, usually on weekends when I have nothing to do. However, I love mornings because everything feels fresh and crisp, and I love nights because no one else is around and they're just so peaceful.

In the morning when I wake up...
Also, when I see people leaving this box called home to live out their lives while I stay behind...
no, I did not mean to rhyme ^_^;

Yeah, early evening is a problem. I perk up when it's bedtime and I know I am about to go unconscious.

But morning (wee hours) gets worse. I wake up with really nasty thoughts. Sometimes later is bad, too, like around getting-out-of-bed time.

My depression is the worst in the morning and the daytime, I get a bad feeling as soon as I wake up about facing a full day, I know I have things to do, people to face, and I have to pretend to be productive.
It tends to get better in the evenings and I feel pretty good during the night. It's also worse in the summer, but I feel better during autumn and winter.
