I can't help but laugh at how my shyness makes my life almost comically awkward.

Went to a local eatery with the family today. Very cute server named Natasha.

-Natasha asked what everyone wanted, I responded with "Breef Taco plate"
with my voice cracking in the misplaced 'R'.
-Natasha asked if we wanted more chips...I responded, "Yes, please." and handed her the bowl of chips...but...she grabbed the part of the bowl that contained the dip...she had a hand full of dip thanks to me.
-Finally...and most awkwardly, while paying the bill...I noticed she had a bright gold necklace with her name on it...I was admiring the jewelry...when I took my eyes away from it, I saw she was staring at me...
Theres a 100% chance she thought I was staring at her rack.

:D I love making people feel awkward.

Let's hope you never see Natasha again...or maybe, lets hope you do. Honestly, if I was the server I would have seen you again. You seem like such a funny guy :D

Lol! Once we me, my parents, and my sister went for a meal with people who own a holiday cottage next door to us, they live abroad and come to stay every summer. Anyway the waitress was at our table taking our order and i started re-adjusting my chair to be more comfortable, and i didn't realise how close she was standing and i lifted my chair and plonked myself down with the chair leg on her foot! She let out a yelp and i felt so embarassed throughout the entire evening.

Another time with my parents and sister, the waitress asked me what drink i would like and i replied ''Cock please!'' instead of ''Coke!'' lol

Yesterday at work, a girl who I'd always thought seemed really cool and confident messed up her words on the phone to a customer just like I do! I felt bad for her, but it was also a huge relief to have living proof that I'm not the only one

I've noticed lately that if I pay more attention to the people around me instead of focusing on my own problems all time, they aren't always as calm and collected as I'd always imagined. I think maybe most people are a bundle of insecurities, but I just let mine get the better of me more than they do.

I am so awkward, but I don't know if it has anything to do with SA. I consider myself an intelligent person, but sometimes I'll say really embarrassing things without thinking. It makes me look like I'm stupid and can't judge what is appropriate. For example, I made sexual jokes around my ex-girlfriend's parents on several occasions, followed by an awkward silence and then her trying to change the subject. Later she would be mad at me for it, but I don't know how to explain that. It just happened. Does this have anything to do with SA?

I've done something similiar to this too...

I was in a shop with my friend, and we were looking at the sweet aisle. I picked up what I wanted and stood there for a second thinking about wether I wanted anything else or not. She asked me "Are you getting anything else?" and I replied "Yeah, I want a can of cock" (Obviously meaning to say coke!) much to the horror and disgust of the elderly ladies and mums with small children that had gathered around us

They mostly just muttered something about teengers theese days or gave me a dirty look and sidled off...boy did I feel like an idiot!

I used to work at a restaurant around alot of staff, waiting staff, cooks, chefs, you name it, and i can recall times where i'd initiate banter and i accidentally said the same comment twice to the same girl, and i remember her saying "didnt you just say that"? ...uh oh ..

but not just that often i had times i didnt know what i was on about, that lack of control made me even more quiet over time, where i just felt like not tlaking at all to avoid looking like a sillybuns

I've had that too, it feels like my mouth's on a 100mph downhill bike run and is completely out of control. I'll come out with some random nonsense, then feel compelled to say something else to justify the nonsense, and something else to cover that... until I pretty much have to force myself to shut up, or flee!
