A week of rain at least is predicted, heavy rain for the next few days too. Its relatively well spread along the eastern coast and somewhat inland too, which is something desperately needed both to put out the fires and to refill the empty dams and fight the drought. I am trying to remind myself of this every time three wet dogs soak my blankets or I remember that I cannot do a load of washing without driving to my mothers to use her dryer

2 days ago I was sitting but my fire pit after spending all day cutting wood in the shorts and a t-shirt, enjoying the beautiful first day of spring.

Today it has snowed three inches of snow. And counting.

So at the end of October it snowed so much in one day that it broke the record for snowfall in the MONTH of October where I am. Then this month, November, we've had multiple days where the record HIGH was broken for temperature. Oh, and then there was an earthquake off the coast that was felt inland, which is very uncommon around here.

It's been a very strange few weeks of weather around here.
