Fact is, this site (or any others like this, or even "social" sites too really) should not be relied upon to fulfill your social needs, if you have them. Doing so only leads to frustration. Keep a number of irons in the fire - bit of real-life interaction (if you can manage it), bit of web interaction, bit of tv, bit of radio, bit of music, bit of nature/animals, bit of religion/spirituality. That way, if one of them fails (for whatever reason), then you don't get upset about it, as you have sufficient other things going on in your life, to handle it with ease - to shrug it off like water off a duck's back.
